I've successfully set up fixity on one of three computers. But when I go to save my email preferences in the other two computers I click the button and nothing happens. If I do check credentials I receive an email but I'm still unable to save the settings. Please assist I'm trying to set it up as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Allie

Hello Allie,

Thanks for the email. What Mac OS are you using on each of the computers that you are having problems with?

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris,

For the computer with the successful set up I'm using Yosemite.

For the other 2 computers with unsuccessful set ups I'm using Sierra.

Could that be the issue?

Thanks,
Allie

Hi Allie,

We did run into compatibility issues with Sierra and my guess is that this is the issue. In fact this incompatibility combined with a few other factors has led us to rebuild Fixity from scratch for both Windows and Mac. We hope to have new versions for Windows and Mac within the next 6 - 8 weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience and keep an eye out for announcements.

Thanks!

Chris

Thanks, Chris. We'll wait to update the Yosemite until the new version of Fixity is available. Glad to know it's just this and not another issue.

I think I am having the same problem - using Sierra and am able to check credentials but "Save and Close" fails.

Also appears to fail when I try to "save settings" and "run now" is not available.

Are all of these related to Sierra?

Thanks!

Julia

Hi Chris,

I'm still having issues saving the email settings. I'm using the High Sierra OS. Have there been any new developments for compatibility?

Thanks,
Allie

Hi Julia,

You are correct, these are issues related to the incompatibility with Sierra. We are wrapping up the last steps of the upgrade process and the new version - compatible with Sierra - will be out in the next few weeks. We'll keep you posted!

Hi Pamela,

I'm running into the same issue on Windows 10. Is this also being addressed in the new version? Any update on when it will be released?

Thanks,
Natalie

Hi Pamela,

This is actually the version I've been using. I'm using a gmail account, and I am receiving the test email, but when I click the "save & close" button, nothing happens.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Natalie
