Are there minimum requirements for a Windows PC running Fixity that can help with scans timing out?

Hello, I downloaded the latest version in April.  I have separated my directories into multiple projects set to run once a month in order to decrease the size of files that Fixity must scan at once.  However, I'm having trouble with scans freezing/timing out (seemingly randomly), and I'm wondering if perhaps the Windows PC I'm using is not robust enough.  I didn't see any minimum requirements listed on the AVP page, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place.

Here are the current specs for my workstation:
Windows 7
8 GB RAM
64 bit operating system
Intel Core i7-4770 CPU 3.40GHz processor

FYI:  the files I'm scanning to not reside on the hard drive; they're on a network server.

If I need to upgrade anything (such as the RAM or the processor), it would be helpful to know exactly what I need so that I can ask my IT Dept. for assistance.

Thank you,
Catherine Lucy
