to Fixed Gear New Zealand
Today I was walking y two cycle shops in the city (Christchurch) and
thought I'd pop in to see what they could offer in the way of a wheel
for a fixed gear conversion.

Wheels and Deals: have factory built 700C wheels with free-wheel hubs
for $90. Allow somewhere around $50 for re-spacing to fit your frame
and for getting the 'dish' correct. You would still need to supply
the sprocket yourself.

John Bull Cycles: have wheels with free-wheel hubs from $80-90 or
thereabouts (for a steel hub), or $120 or so for an alloy hub. Re-
spacing probably costs around $20 then probably $40 or so for re-
dishing. They also have Dura-Ace track cogs for $45, so could supply
a finished wheel ready to go.

All prices are approximate and based on my (foggy) memory; check
before ordering.
