Kaman high precision eddy current measuring systems feature the SMT-9700 and SMU-9000 products. These systems are perfect for analytical and OEM applications requiring customized optimization of specific measurement characteristics such as resolution, linearity, thermal stability of output, or frequency response.

Kaman High Precision systems are ideal for applications requiring high resolution, including precision machining and grinding, spindle axial runout, mirror alignment, optical stage positioning, metrology measurements, and more.

Differential measuring systems represent a significant advancement in precision measurement technology. Differential systems provide exceptional resolution, repeatability, and nulling accuracy for detecting the aligned or centered position of a conductive target relative to a pair of non-contacting sensors. Radiation tolerance to 135 kRad make these systems ideal for space applications.

This specialized line of high temperature sensors features precise operation at up to 1,000F continuous and +1,200F short term, with resolution and repeatability comparable to the Kaman line of high precision systems. Durable and precise, with available multi-channel rack systems using Eurocard electronics or NEMA enclosures.

Extreme Environment Systems utilize laser-welded Inconel housings and mineral-insulated hard line cable to withstand the rigors of applications in aerospace propulsion, nuclear energy production, conventional power generation, cryogenic chambers, and more.

High performance displacement, speed, or detection measurement for a variety of general purpose industrial and scientific measurement applications. Affordable precision for the widest variety of measurement needs.

Designed for precise single- or dual-plane differential measurement of linear or angular displacement, common in tilt-tip applications such as Fast Steering Mirror control, optical scanning mirrors, and shaft runout monitoring.

Our customers value our broad application expertise and technical cooperation, especially during the design phase. Based on short development times, they receive solutions that are economically attractive precisely fitted to technical requirements.

Shims, washers, and retaining rings help to ensure the optimal fit and function of your bearings applications. GRW ball bearing accessories help you achieve the precision fit required for your application.

These bearings are designed to carry large loads at precise orientations. The sets of matched bearings in duplex bearings provide extremely accurate positioning in both radial and axial directions, and have a higher load capacity to a single ball bearing.

The Measuring Division of Kaman Precision Products is highlighting the availability of high precision displacement sensors for extreme environments such as power generation including nuclear and aerospace propulsion, materials research and development, with operating temperatures from -320F to +1000F (+1200F short term) at pressures up to 5000 psi.

Originally designed for NASA and the nuclear power industry, these sensors provide non contacting measurement of conductive surface motion with unsurpassed accuracy and reliability under the most hostile operating conditions.

The sensors use the versatile KDM-8206 signal conditioning electronics. Single channel systems are available in the NEMA-enclosures or bench-top/ rack-mountable Eurocards. The NEMA enclosure houses an internal power supply, digital panel meter and window kit. Up to twelve measuring channels are available in the rack-mountable KDM-8206.

Middletown, CT - The Measuring Division of Kaman Precision Products, Inc., the world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance position measurement systems, highlights its family of precision differential non-contact eddy current measuring systems for free space optical communication. Widely used in commercial and military imaging and communication satellites, interplanetary exploration vehicles, laser targeting, night vision, and optics stabilization systems, the differential inductance transducer systems have a proven track record of outstanding performance. Kaman's measuring systems provide reliable high resolution position feedback, ensuring that a reflected laser beam finds its target hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away. The differential measurement family includes the KD-5100+ high reliability displacement measurement system, the commercial grade DIT5200L differential impedance transducer, and the KD-5600 digital differential measuring system.
