Trucks over 15,000lbs should not be allowed to use any lane other that
the right hand lane. Passing should not be allowed by these
vehicles. Once a truck traveling at 35mph tries to pass another truck
traveling at 30mph it causes a chain reaction of every vehicle behind
that passing truck. The entire passing process could take several
minutes as well. Keeping those trucks in one lane will greatly
increase the flow of traffic and prevent potential accidents.
Thank you!

Traffic backs up behind tunnels and trucks. Since truck travel slower
than cars, they reduce car travel to only one continous lane. It only
take one truck on I70 for this to happen. Banning trucks Sat morning
and Sunday afternoon would effectively double car capacity. It's
cheap, easy and done plenty of other places.

Truckers lose money stuck in traffic. The ban would force them better
plan their travel.

Ban the Buddy Pass and build a full service truck stop complex

A full service truck stop before Vail - i.e. Wolcott or Eagle, would
give truckers a place to wait out traffic (variable message signs with
drive times posted), wait out chain laws or closures and buy proper
equipment for conditions.
