f8c crashing

I had downloaded the version 1.4.0, and rebuilt the entire project (Win32, release mode) in VS 2015, in Win10 Pro. Now from the Windows command line I am running the compiler as: f8c -b. The result is as expected: "GCC not used. No information available." However, after that the program simply crashed.

I am guessing I probably need to change some project settings for VS 2015. But not sure what. Would appreciate your help. Thanks..
