I am studying the FiveK database for using some of the content for HDR testing. However, despite the wide color space and high bit depth, is there any information about whether any raw images are more appropriate for HDR research? For example, some may have a double exposure to increase f stop range or is there processing to enhance the color range of the DSLR camera sensors?

If one or more of the post processing experts liked to work in HDR range, it would be helpful to identify the most appropriate sets. This investigation is intended for industry compression research.

Hi Dale,

The images in the FiveK dataset are raw, but from what I know there are no multiple exposures for HDR (unless they got there by accident).
