Hi there,

Did someone change the environment to something Juicybomb for the region?

If you're setting a default for an event or something temporary, please remember to set it back to default at some point.

If it's a preference of some kind, I'd think that should be a discussion among the group to come up with something pretty and cool and soothing et al... or a way of being cool about setting it for something and photos, then setting it back when done.

Does that sound reasonable and alright with y'all?

Personally, I just use my local/viewer settings and custom function keys on my keyboard for Midnight, Midday, and Sunset with occasional Verdigris. Doesn't impact y'all... but I can see if there's an event yeah a common experience helps set the mood. Or for a photo shoot or something. But not impacting others, I'm weird that way, and like a grim atmosphere while sitting on my bridge looking out at the ravine. Because Kristine makes awesome.

Hmmm. Not us *that I know* of, but let me check with Shandon. Could be he shifted it on Thursday night and forgot to shift it back. Apologies if that's the case. We tend to not do that - we tend to recommend that people set a recommended environment in their viewers. That's certainly what I do personally. But "we" also don't seem to remember things quite like we used to, either. ~ CS

BTW, what *should* the region be set at?  ~ Cale

I think it's kind of a neat feature. But setting it back is a cool thing to do, too, and glad y'all have been doing that and then setting it back. An oops is an oops, and happens, and it's ok. Yay teamwork. (This whole L3 Technical Writer leadership coaching mentoring role thing is warping my brain)

In the regions settings, in the environment tab, if you hit the "default" button, that resets everything back

Dunno. Anyone have a good one to replace the default that everyone will not totally hate for gussying up the sky and the water a tad? I tend to just to do Function-F1 on my keyboard which is a macro to set Midnight (And the kitties are sleeping). or Function-F3 for Sunset.

speaking of environments -- is it okay to take Nowhereville to winter around December 15th?   As usual, I'll just use the "frosty ground" terrain texture so that if you don't want to change up your area, it won't look odd

Yes, I know *how* to do it. I just didn't know if we had it set to something specific before, or if it was set at default. As I said, I don't muck with the environment settings on Nowhereville as I know there are residents on the region affected by such chanfges. There is a way to set them specific to a parcel, and as far as I know that was what Shandon has been using for his sets since we moved in. No one else in our group has the permission level to make changes to the region settings. (At least I don't think that they do.)

I've sent Shandon a message about it, which he probably won't be in a position to answer until after noon slt.

Has it been restored, now?

December 15 is fine.

If someone finds a cool environment and wants to run it past the group to make it permanent, I'm cool with that.   I'm sorry if I misunderstood your question, Cale!   We have been using the "default" SL settings

Okay -- on or about December 15th, a cold front will approach and the forecast is for white stuff then  :)

If it needs to be earlier, as in an escape from football, the dishes, and the noise of a certain holiday this upcoming week, not really worried, as long as y'all work it out and everyone's cool (or a minimum of uncool) with it. Slug it out, hug it out, and go to Jian and pug it out?

I know I've got Wednesday through Sunday off of work, I'm a bit of a recluse (which challenges my ability to gracefully decline open invitations to various coworker and/or friend family dinners), and "Turkey Day" is actually "Corned Beef Pizza From The Irish Pub Day." I've had my fill of turkey will a total of three turkey and stuffing and cranberry kolache factory kolaches, and I think that's the low water mark for my lifelong obsession with "most pathetic thanksgiving meal concept ever." (sweet potato kettle chips and corn nuts and pumpkin pie torani in vodka notwithstanding)

As far as I know, that's fine. Let me check with our landscape crew and make sure there are not scheduling conflicts.

Looks like the Seanchai Library crew is good for a February 11th thaw.  Many thanks!  ~ Cale
