Loading Cif files

Hello - I have a bunch of CIF files that I'd like to use with the powder diffraction analysis button, but it says that they aren't supported. Is this a bug, or are cif files really not supported? If not, is there another way of loading these files into the software? I'm not finding anything obvious.
