Hello!

First, thanks for your great fityk!

I tried to load some XPS data into fityk, whose file type is vamas.
There seemed to be two lines, one a regular XPS spectra and the other
one a very low straight line, and I could not fit it properly. I read
the vamas file in Notepad++, it turned out there are transmission data
in the file, together with intensity data. I then noticed in W. A.
Dench's 1988 paper (found it in your vamas.h :-) ), there could be
more than one corresponding variables, as described in part 32 of the
block structure. Xylib simply loads vamas file as if the number of
corresponding variables is one, combining different series of data
into one.

I thought maybe I could try to make it work. This is my patch <http://
goo.gl/86EW>, I tested the compiled xyconv.exe using the sample file
at <http://www.unipress.waw.pl/fityk/xylib_samples/mjr9_116a.vms> and
it works as expected.

Would you like reviewing my patch? Thanks!

Hector
