Tim, have you ever had success with this strategy of yours where you wander into projects provided for your use, free of charge and as a result of the work entirely of others, and criticize them? Has that ever resulted in someone caring in any way about your opinion and making the changes you demand? I'd be shocked if it did.
The sad thing is that I don't disagree with you; there are all sorts of features that would make these apps better were I in the position to devote the time to code them. But life is full of tradeoffs; for example, one such tradeoff is that you've chosen to use someone else's app rather than write your own with the exact functionality you want. I presume that when this tradeoff no longer suits your purposes, you'll move forward with another way of tracking your data; until then, I'm glad that my apps can help.
