Okay, I need a few point of clarification here:

1. When are we starting to promote the Free Shipping offer?

2. Has everyone had a chance to review the offer page that I made here http://7daymeltdown.com/free-shipping/ ?  I haven't heard any feedback on it outside of a quick call with Pat (thanks for the suggestion there!)

3. Are we getting RP's involved?  I can easily make that page a commission tracking link, we would just need to send them an email letting them know that we are running this sale and which dates it will be live.

4. Have the emails that Jeff wrote here  been reviewed and approved?   It seems to me that the order and content is changing a bit.  It's hard to work from a document that is not static.    Also, I see that there's a random email to the RP's set up for 1/15 - if we are reaching out to them alone, shouldn't it to be have them promote our sale?

Jeff, I know you wanted to get out a broadcast for today, but the youtube video you linked to has the Rocky Theme song in it and I believe we aren't allowed to use music we don't own on youtube.

Nick, can you please let me know if this video is safe to promote?   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9vx0NTA3UQ

Pat, Ryan and Jeff - please let me know when the sales page has been reviewed, the emails have been reviewed, a timeframe for this offer has been decided and when we are good to move forward with a solid plan.

In the mean time, I am going to hold off on the Broadcast that was to go out today because I am not comfortable with the Rocky music in it.  Additionally, it is the same video being promoted on Tuesday (not a preview version) so that is causing me confusion as well. The email now dated for 1/19 also alludes to a preview video for Tuesday - this just all feels very rushed and thrown together.

It's all in the first minute, right? If that's the case, then I see three options:
1. Leave it.  It's not that prominent or clear, or even complete.  The downside is that we find out if it's an issue by the video being shut down.
2. Clip the first minute off and use the rest.
3. Do both, and be ready to reroute everything if/when the video gets pulled.

I don't know what all goes into those options, so I can't say definitively which is best.  But as long as we're ok with the possibility of the video being pulled, even if I think it's less likely than usual, then I'm cool with #1.  I don't think there's any other legal consequence.

Thanks!

Sara, I just went in and took out the video references & links in the email dated 1/19, and the ones following.

And yes the one I had scheduled for today was the exact same video as the one for Tuesday, I was trying to give multiple chances to watch it to see if this ups our number of views.

If it's too late to go out, I can just schedule the emails referencing that video for the week after the "Free Shipping" emails.

Okay, thanks Nick.

Jeff, we can send that email out tomorrow but I'll need content for the blog post beyond just the video itself.

I still need confirmation on my other questions about the sales page, reviewed emails, RP emails and promo dates.  We can work this all out in KY this week.

Thanks,

Here's the link to the broadcast doc, where the content for the video is written up.

Sara-

I like the sales page.

It would be good to get RPs in on this if possible but we will be focusing on the customers we have on our list.

As far as a timeline we are coming in on losing the new years resolution crowd.  I would say we want this out in the next two weeks at the latest but not at the expense of rushing it before it is ready.

We need to modify the broadcasts that we will send out for this promo as well.  THe subjects need adjusted and the copy needs tweaked in the body of the email

I can send this out as soon as the emails are finalized - the actual sales process has been tested and now it looks like the page is approved (thanks).

I will write the emails for this go around so we can knock them out quickly.  They will by tomorrow midday.

Are their objections to this from anyone in the group.

No objections from me.

For future reference, I'll study the changes you make, and try to learn how to improve the emails as I type them.
