ACTION NEEDS TO START
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities
and the Health Appropriations Committee are starting preliminary
meetings in the next few days. They are not making any final decisions
now on the current budget cuts, but it is critical that we email them
with our concerns of reducing the difference it pays between solo
providers and agencies to no more then 20%.
For Behavior Analysis agencies this could be a 20 to 23% rate cut starting next year. I
have put together some "talking points" with some local Behavior
Analysis Providers. Please use this when emailing your concerns. Also
another beneficial affect would be to make appointments to your local
representatives that are on the Health Appropriations Committee and talk
to them on a more personable level. I have attached an excel sheet
with the names and contact information for them. Please email them
through the website
http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Representatives/representatives.aspx
If you email them directly the email may bounce back. It's important to
discuss the "financial impact" that would occur if Behavior Analysis
rates were cut this severely.
Thank you!
