Fit and Healthy version 1.5.11 adds support for exporting steps to Fitbit.  There are options under Data Sync to select the device to export.  It also has the option of exporting at the day/hour/minute level.

While syncing, Fit and Healthy will pop-up messages showing what is being imported and exported.

There were a few fixes for calories and distances sometimes not importing.  A strange double counting bug should be fixed.

The auto-sync should be more reliable in this new version.

There is also an Fitbit export upgrade pack added which exports weight, body fat%, calories burnt and sleep start/end data.

I am hoping you can help me with a syncing problem I had.  I synced my S Health steps to my Fitbit dashboard starting from a certain date (yesterday), but instead it synced going back more than a week.  This brought my step count way down.  Is there a way I can undo this?  Is there a syncing issue?

Hi Megan,

Unlike S Health, Fitbit does not differentiate between devices and because of this I was reluctant in creating an undo feature as it could wipe out more data than expected.  To remove the step count added by Fit and Healthy, go to your Fitbit dashboard on fitbit.com and into the Log -> Activities section.  The steps can be deleted on the lower part of this page by clicking on the pink trashcan icon next to "View Details".

As Fit and Healthy adds steps to Fitbit, how are you seeing that the step count is going down? Do you mean an average of some sort?

Thanks for the feedback.  There isn't a syncing issue, but I will rework the interface more in the next version so that it syncs a day at a time.  This will make the app is easier to use.

Can you explain to me what "Fitbit server overloaded" means?

Fitbit protects its servers against hammering.  This is to prevent their servers from getting overloaded and maybe also to prevent mass migration of user data away from their products.

If the Fit and Healthy app has sent too many hits on their server (more than 150 per hour), the Fitbit server will automatically prevent any more data to be sent or received until the hour is up.

If you're seeing this, try shortening the time period of the sync and/or disable some of the data options in the Data sync settings screen of Fit and Healthy.  In particular, Sleep data is especially intensive on the Fitbit servers.

For some reasony data is not exporting to fitbit, or so it seems. My weekly step count is decreasing daily to zero. I have all of the permission enabled in Fit and Healthy and all of the export features turned on. During initial setup I logged into my fitbit account and allowed Fit and Healthy...

Any advice?

If you go to https://www.fitbit.com and then select "Log" towards the top of the screen and then "Activities", what do you see in the Activity log in the lower half of the page?

Which device you are using to track your steps?

I installed the app, added the Fitbit export option, gave the perms and such etc. When I try to sync I get an "Export S Health found no data" yet I see data in S Health. I've tried different date and time ranges. I'm using a Note 5 with the Gear S3.

Have you updated S Health to the latest version from the play store?

If you click on the Fit and Healthy tile in S Health, then select "Source data" from the menu and select "Step trackers", do you see the Gear S3 in the list?  If you select it and go back to the History screen, change the date, do you see a step count at the bottom of the screen?

If so, back in Fit and Healthy, go to the Data sync settings and select "Export step data from device" and select the S3 from the list.  That should make the app pick up the step count from the S3.

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the screenshots.  It all checks out on the S Health side.  Would you please go to https://www.fitbit.com and click on "Log" at the top of the page, then "Activities" and check the "Daily Totals" as well as the "Activity Log" at the bottom of the page?

If you're seeing step data there and you're expecting to see it in the Fitbit app for Android, you'll need to connect a Fitbit tracker to your Fitbit account.  For more information, take a look at the following question and answer under "Does the Fitbit app track my steps and activities automatically if I'm not using a tracker?" http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1347

Let me know,

Check that the steps really haven't been recorded on the Fitbit site.  Go to https://www.fitbit.com and then select "Log" at the top of the screen, then the "Activities" tab.  The steps should be under Daily Totals and Activity Log.

If they aren't there, what does the app say while it is syncing? There should be some pop-up messages.

Lastly, if errors have occurred, the app will ask you to attach a debug log if you select "Email feedback" from Fit and Healthy's menu.

Hi There

The info from my gear fit 2 is coming inlto fitbit really well, however the calories burnt is ot matching my gear fit 2.

Should this be same? I've set the sync to allow some health to over ride fit bit data. I have a Galaxy s7 edge.

Any help would be great. If you need extra info please let me know.

Hi Halil,

Fitbit and Samsung have estimated a different caloric burn per step and profile.  This could explain some of the inconsistency.

Are you exporting the calories to Fitbit as well as the steps or just the steps?

Hello! I emailed for help with this same issue, but I figured I'd join this board :)

I'm trying to sync steps from my Gear S2 to Fitbit, while also counting steps from my Charge HR in Fitbit and have the additive total go into myfitnesspal. I know how to tell mfp from where to pull steps, and I'm happy to tell it to pull from either S Health or Fitbit, but I'm having trouble getting the steps from both devices to be added together in either app. Only options I see in sync settings are to Skip (Keep Fitbit data) or Overwrite, and neither seem like they will get me an added total.

In S Health, I see my steps from my Gear, and on the Fit and Healthy tile, I see my Fitbit steps. Right now Fit and Healthy is set to export steps TO Fitbit.

I appreciate your help!

Try disabling the "Import step count from Fitbit" option as enabling Calories will also sync the step count.  In S Health, the Calories can be found in the main step tracker under the "Trends" tab.

I am trying to export steps from S Health to the Fitbit app.   My steps are being synced between S Health and My Gear S2.  Like another person mentioned, I am also having the steps decrease over time.   Also, when looking at the Tile at the bottom of the S Health App (the one for Fit and Healthy), it says 0 steps even though my S2 and Samsung Health see 6400 right now.  Any thought of what's going on?  Is this an interface issue between Samsung Health and Fit and Healthy?   Thanks!

For some reason, the Fitbit android app shows a step count only if there is a Fitbit tracker connected to the Fitbit account.

After Fit and Healthy syncs, try going to: https://www.fitbit.com At the page, select "Log" at the top of the screen, then the "Activities" tab.  You should see your Samsung steps on this page.

I left my fitbit on the charger for my walk this morning. I wanted to get credit for my steps so I paid for and added the export feature of your app today. I feel like I am doing something wrong as NOTHING was exported to my Fitbit. How do I fix - it tells me that data synced but all that I notice is that S Health no longer reflects my activity, steps listed but activity is now and Fitbit is not reflecting my actual steps only those since I donned it this morning.

Hello

I have set my goal steps to 10000 in S Health, but When i Choose to are the steps from Fit and Healthy, it shows 6000 as goal. Hoe can i change this?

Just received my Gear S3 and it appears the Samsung Health app now tracks floors climbed.  Any chance of looking into getting that exported to Fitbit?  Great app otherwise and thank you.

Hi, I am wondering why no matter how many steps I have walked per hour when I sync s health to fitbit the calories burned in fitbit are always 114 per each hour. Does it mean that the total calories burned in fitbit is completely wrong?

I can't quite tell, does this app sync S Health data other than steps into the Fitbit app? I'm looking into getting one of the Gear watches and I want to continue tracking my exercise and calories using the Fitbit app.

Hello, I just purchased a gear s3 and downloaded your app to sync the steps from s health to the Fitbit app. I am showing 12543 steps in the health app but no matter what I change on the fit and healthy app I cannot get the Fitbit app to match. Is there a guide somewhere or some optional settings? I am only looking to have Fitbit get the steps and sleep info from s health I do not care to have it go the other way.

I'm also looking for a way to export Floors from Samsung Health to Fitbit. Samsung Health supports it... but I don't see an option to export floors to Fitbit, not even in the export pack.

I have had a response from developer of fit and healthy to say there is a problem with Samsung server at this time and he has contacted Samsung and is awaiting a reply.
