Congratulations!  Lindsey couldn't wait to call and tell us your news the other day.  What fun - you had a surprise afterall.  Lindsey's technician is positive it's a girl, but I'm still keeping my receipts.

I was doing really well with exercise, not so well with eating healthy, and the last week I fell off the wagon with exercise as well.  I was away a lot and this time my obligations included evenings so I should have gotten up and used hotel treadmills early in the morning, but I didn't.  I need to push myself to try and do mornings because I run out of time in the evenings too often.

Glad to hear Heather and Julia already got to reward themselves!  Keep up the good work girls.  I need someone to push me team - Heather please get on my case.  This is your chance to scold Aunt Pam and give me some advice.

I hope to get to PA soon, depends on the weather.

Keep exercising ladies!  Take care of your finger Emily!

Love,
Pam

Mom -

Julia has it down.  New workout clothes always do the trick for me.  They make you feel good too.  I'm not in the mood or shape to buy them, but . . . I do need new running shoes.  So, I think for both of us, two weeks of at least 5 days of workouts during the week, and we go for a little reward.  I'm going to make myself do the 64 oz. too.  Deal?  Or, any better ideas???  Also, I am looking for websites that have quick and healthy recipes.  I will send them to you if I find them.  In the meantime, I have been logging my workouts on paper, but I need to know what to do with them from there.

Hi everyone!!!

Yeah Linz!!!
I wanted to reply to your last message as well.  I have used the Baby Wise book series quite a bit with my families.  Many love it, some think it's a waste of time. . . . There's another helpful resource which I have been using recently and my families are raving about it's success.  It's called the 5 S's.  I'll try to get some information for you but it's based on the idea that a newborn is still really a fetus, as far as environmental needs.  A newborn calf can stand and walk and eat very soon after birth, pretty much ready to take on the outside world.  A newborn baby, however, is pushed out into this incredibly different world, with few skills and abilities to self-regulate at first.  The 5 S's create an environment more similar to that of the womb and provide security for the baby to transition more slowly to the world.  They are:  Shushing, sucking, swinging, side position and swaddling.
I'm glad to hear the shower was fun . . . . let me know what you still need. . . . .
This is sooooo exciting!
Love, Aunt Cher & Co.

Well, I wish a kick in the tail would work for me, but I've hit a wall.
Baby Harris dropped a couple of weeks ago, and I can barely walk. I haven't
done anything since, and I'm trying not to beat myself up. I'm thinking
about attempting to walk today, but I'm really trying to honor my body
(especially since I had the false labor so early). But watch out after he
comes! I'm gonna give ya'll a run for your money! :D

Linz, I hope your shower was awesome. You should be receiving our gift this
week.

Love,
Jodie and Baby Harris
