On the sunday night past, as the evening wanes, the sounds of drumming
and bass lines come from the front yard to those who can hear the
shadow. It appears Mr. Crazy has arrived. To those who wander out,
Mr. Crazy appears to be what would happen if Animal (from sesame
street) was crossed with a 13 year old. His face looks as though it
were painted on with a lot of red, and he has a spikey mohawk and many
dangly piercings that whip around as he thrashes to music that he
hears. Instruments and speakers form out of his body as he plays with
a noticably metal style, but limited ability. He appears to be a
strong rank 1, with limited communications through his 'musak'. While
he will try to encourage people to play music or be physically active,
he isn't powerful and will respond to being told to stop or be quiet
or any of those things. Those who study him and what he seems
interested in will find that he is about 'doing' as opposed to
'thinking'.

Kusanagi will just stare at the creature, and then turn to Spooky and try to say over the music, "Two days of this?! You know... I'll come out and say hello but I think I hear my wife calling," Phone totally didn't ring but he picks up his cellphone, "Yes... What? Sure I'll be right there in about two hours... What's that noise? Thats the sound of Crazy. It's now audible over here."

Spooky will welcome Mr. Crazy into the yard and give him a little tour of the place. She points at the threshold to the house. "Don't forget, no coming in the house."

She grabs a lawn chair and drags it out to the lawn. "But don't worry. I'll hang out here with you a lot."

"Wait so your..." He hesitated, but then he remembered he made no such deal with the entity, "Have fun folks! By the way we're having Stirfry in a couple of days," As he's bolting for his car, "LOTS of it." And he hops in and heads off down the driveway and down the street, one can see him try to buckle his seatbelt halfway down the road.

Pipestone picks up his cell phone and calls Kusanagi.

"Hey old man. I recall doctoring you back to health when you had so much paradox damage that your bones had turned to metal. You can't drive away from this. Get back here and take your heaping ladles full of crazy. Yeah, I know it's mostly my fault. But we are a cabal and we carry our burdens together." Pipestone hangs up abruptly.

Pipestone brings out some fleshy bags, each is the size of a human head or so. Pipestone toss them at Mr. Crazy, when they are batted back, the make a human farting noises of various pitches. as they are batted about, they as a Fart Concert to the noise.

Pipestone picks up his cell phone again and calls Kusanagi.

"One more thing, I've order various musical instruments. Can you pick them up on your way back."

Honestly, I didn't. Just go someplace and pick up some randsom instruments. Here's my charge card number. Get 7 instruments who's price has a 7 in it. If there are not enough them try 6 or 9.

Spooky continues to tap out a beat on the lawn chair and hums "As the saints go marching in" to an entirely different rhythm while Pipestone plays with Crazy.

"Thats... an odd request but I will see what I can do..."

A little while later: Kusanagi pulls back into the driveway and hops out, "It was an odd request but I think I have all we need." He then opens up the trunk and starts pulling out instruments. Two Guitars, Two Mandolins, Two Harmonicas, and a 10,000 dollar Accordian. "All of them have a 7 somewhere in the price tag. Shall we get rocking?"

"Oh Kusanagi, this is perfect. I got to see how the Accordion works. You know, my sister had accordion lessons when I was young. I think it was a very strange instrument. At least you didn't end up with bag pipes!"

Pipestone squeeze the accordion and it lets out a Joyous, but not harmonious noise.

Kusanagi will pick up one of the guitars as well, "I'm assuming you want something in English." He says down to the little spirit.

In a grand stroke of irony he begins to play: "Turning Japanese". And just like everyone else in the group. Plays it horribly, but manages to get the notes right.

Listening to the three different and equally off-tune songs, Spooky begins dance, sort of Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction-like but badly.

Mr Crazy seems to not be bothered by the disharmony, but does push the
beat as he can. He'll join in the singing with a sort of grumbling
"ahh" sound that has no real pitch to speak of. All in all, he seems
to be enjoying the mess.

"Rhythm? Dancing? Wait... I got this..."
Pipestone goes into the house and is gone for a good 15 minutes. When he comes out Marilyn is dressed in her dancing outfit. It looks like a rainbow of clashing colors. Once she gets into the spirit of the music, she begins to twirl, jump and dance around.

Pipestone continues to play his crazy music, but tries to follow the beat that Spooky, Mr. Crazy and Marilyn are laying down.

Mu drives up in an old van and opens the back to reveal a startlingly
large set of speakers that look like they've been assembled from spare
parts. He unloads a few cases of Faygo ("Hey, it's really hard to find
this stuff but it's actually really good.") and a stack of Taco Bell
boxes. He puts some truly awful-sounding rap-like music on the
speakers with weird carnival themes.

Mu offers up the tacos and munches on one himself as he sits
cross-legged in front of the van. "You know, I'm really starting to
understand the merits of this music," he says. "It's not as terrible
as it sounds at first." He turns the ICP music up a bit.

"Sure I'll start dinner," As he passes his guitar off to Mu... and then he double takes at the radio and then looks around at everyone else, and then repeats the lyrics slowly just to make sure he's hearing all this right, "Bitch... you got red neck.... But you look kind of straight so I'm about to step... Heard you like fucking in pig pens... You never seen boys so you fuck your girlfriends... Mu... No, this is about as bad as it seems."

He changes it to a new song, "...This one says its more recent... 2009... To Catch a Predator... I'll atleast give this one a shot... " He then listens to the first verse... "Ok what the hell... its talking about luring monsters over to his house so he can..." waits a few seconds and listens, "Stab him in the neck.... Peel off his face, feed it to him... and then chain him up in his basement. I understand he's trying to make a point but ... Shit! Mu... How is this good?"

He then looks over at Mr. Crazy, "You popped right out of this music didn't you?" Not really expecting an answer.

Mu looks up at Spooky. "Maybe? I just asked them to put some food in
some boxes and then paid them for it."

He looks at Kusanagi and says, "I've only had a bit of time to absorb
it, but I think there's a deep mythology back there... something about
hell and punishment, you know what I mean? It's like this carnival is,
like, a sort of purgatory for those who are torn between the righteous
and the depraved. I'd have to say that the judgmental and
confrontational themes don't really resonate with the way I prefer to
approach things, but the music really seems like an elaborate metaphor
for the Path of Wisdom.

"Like, that song there? It's about the futility of revenge and
punitive justice and the recognition that we have a temptation to
enforce our own desires on others, but to do so is hubristic even if
done with seemingly noble motives. I kinda think that maybe if you
suspend judgment and absorb the inner meaning, it might help you
understand the true nature of your soul." He closes his eyes and leans
back to listen to the music.
