IC: Pipestone has a eureka moment

"Kusanagi! Get in here!"

Pipestone is pointing at a large screen TV in his lab. He's been
working on something very hard and is very excited about a
breakthrough.

"A gene re-sequencer. But one that spreads like a retrovirus and
causes an instant and genetic cascade through the 2 terabytes of the
human genome. This would cause the human body to accept new genetic
parameters and essentially rebuild itself."

Computer animations on the monitor that show a cartoon version of this process.

"It is going to be... well dangerous. And since we are talking about a
huge change, on a genetic level there, is just no telling how well it
will work. I mean there is going to be a lot of programing to get all
the pairs just as they should be. A few wrong pairs ... well you could
be rebuilt as a potato. Well more likely as genetically lifeless goo."

The animation shows the human form melting into a grey pudding.
Pipestone does a few more calculations and has it re-compile the
animation. It then shows a stronger human form and not goo.

"Most people should get some increased physical capacity on the order
of about a 50 percent increase in either strength, dexterity or
overall stamina. Of course about 10 percent of the time it will have
no effect, but occasionally it might give the a boost of the human
maximum which will synergize with their current physicality."

Pipestone turns to Kusanagi and a little happy and a little crazed.

"We can do this Mr Kusanagi! And with very little goo. I manage all
the calculations for the genetics but I need you to build the liquid
that will deliver the treatment, what do you say?"

Pipestone waits for Kusanagi's response.

Kusanagi sits and watches as well, "2 Terabytes? That's incredible. The entire human body can now fit inside of a computer."

"There has been talk of this for decades now. What virus base are you using?"

"As for the medical injection... it will take a few months for me to get started, but yes we can do this! But first, I have to Master Matter to return something precious you once gave me."

Pipestone mumbles "Ebola".
"but arcana is unimportant! This is where science meets magic. This is techne."
Pipestone sits beside kusanagi.
"my friend you owe me nothing. Do not try to pay a debt you do not owe. Argentm made that and it is right you should have it."

[George Farmer]

He nods for a moment and then smiles, "That we can accomplish. A hypospray jet injector. There will be alittle touchscreen monitor on the back of the device to adjust the chemicals within the Ebola-Retrovirus to produce the desired results! You get to work on the chemical formula and I'll create the device. A blood sample might be needed to read the patient's DNA and find a suitable combination base for the particular patient. Pipestone your a genius!"
