After having read quite a few discussion on this topic I have realized that recent version of git seems not working on old mac.I am using a intelcoreduo mini mac 2006 (10.6.8) in which I have python 2.7.9 is installed. However if try to detect the git version installed (2.5.3) by typing "git --version"on Terminal, I get the message Illegal instructionI have tried to instal different versions of git but the only one that seems good enough (according to several threads) is 1.8.4.2 that unfortunately is not available in the "installer mode".I have therefore downloaded git-1.8.4.2.tar.gz that I don't know how to handle it.Is there anyone around so kind to tell me step by step what to do and/or if there is another solution to the problem? Thanks in advance

We have ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1 and it crashes whenever we open ArcMap or ArcCatalog. Sometimes we are able to use it for sometime and sometimes it crashes instantly. The crash is not dependent on any tool or any specific activity. Even if ArcMap or ArcCatalog is idle, after sometime it crashes and this window appears.

I remember experiencing this with 10.6. In my case, the C:\Python27 directory had had its permissions changed so that only Administrators could view its contents. To fix it, I clicked the Python folder, waited for File Explorer to tell me that it wasn't accessible and asked if I wanted to make it accessible, to which I clicked Yes. Python, after all, is necessary for a lot of ArcMap functionality so it made sense why it was crashing. But still no idea on how those permissions got changed. I saw this on four other workstations in my organization, out of perhaps 25 workstations.

Last week I upgraded from 10.3. to 10.6.1 and since then have experienced continual crashes while trying to edit a file geodatabase feature class using ArcGIS Desktop. The cashes occur at seeming random times and were varying in frequency from one every 25 minutes to one every 30 seconds. Today it escalated to one every 10 seconds. My editing consists of pretty simple cutting or merging polygons or adding data to the attribute table. It doesn't usually crash mid edit (as if it couldn't process) but happens after I've made an edit or after I've saved the file.

I have tried MXD Doctor (no problems found), creating a new copy of the feature class, checking specs of my computer to make sure it can handle 10.6 (all good), and considered upgrading the status of the Geodatabase but that option is not available because "This 10 Geodatabase matches the ArcGIS release you are currently using."

I worked my way through these steps and ended up reinstalling but am still having the same issue, along with extremely slow startup of Desktop. I did find an old folder from 10.3 in the %appdata% (from a profile reset some time ago) before I uninstalled 10.6.1 and thought this might have been the problem. I also went to %appdata% and deleted the whole ESRI folder after I uninstalled to make sure everything was cleared. When I reinstalled the crashing started immediately, even when I was editing a totally new shapefile unrelated to the original geodatabase. Could there be remnants of 10.3 or the first 10.6.1 install that is not being removed when I uninstall and any idea of where I should look for this. Any other avenues I should pursue? Thank you for your suggestions!

Hello, I am on macOS Monterey (version 12.5.1) and when I go to the App Store to upgrade to the latest version of Final Cut Pro 10.6.6, I don't have Update next to the app but just Open. Someone can tell me why? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi... I'm having the same problem, but I'm already on Monterey 12.7.1, yet still not getting the option to update to ANY version of FCPX and I'm still on 10.6.3 :/ Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mac OS X Snow Leopard (version 10.6) (also referred to as OS X Snow Leopard[10]) is the seventh major release of macOS, Apple's desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers.

Snow Leopard was succeeded by OS X Lion (version 10.7) on July 20, 2011.[14] For several years, Apple continued to sell Snow Leopard at its online store for the benefit of users that required Snow Leopard in order to upgrade to later versions of OS X. Snow Leopard was the last version of Mac OS X to be distributed primarily through optical disc, as all further releases were mainly distributed through the Mac App Store introduced in the Snow Leopard 10.6.6 update.[15]

Apple strengthened Mac OS X by implementing stack protection, and sandboxing more Mac OS X components such as the H.264 decoder in QuickTime and browser plug-ins as a separate process in Safari.[59] Secure virtual memory was an option in earlier releases on Snow Leopard, but the checkbox to disable it was removed later. An anti-malware feature was also added to the system that alerts the user if malware is detected.[60] Mac OS X 10.6.8 added regular malware definition updates.[61]

The BBC reported that a bug in Mac OS X versions 10.6.0 and 10.6.1 which, in rare cases, caused loss of user account data after use of a previously existing guest account by users who had upgraded from a previous version of Mac OS X, received wide publicity.[80] The bug was fixed as of version 10.6.2.[81]

I also have a few Macs: iMac and MacBook with OSX 10.6.8 and purchased the Envy 5640. By setting up the Envy on my Wi-Fi, my computers do see the printer and print to it, as does my iPad and Android phone. I have yet to try scanning, but will look into your solutions.

I just bought an hp envy 4520 and it works fine with my macbook pro on OS X 12. However for my old macbook using snow leopard (OS X 10.6.8), I could not find a printer driver. So I downloaded the printer driver for HP Envy 4500 which worked with 10.6.8 and installed it on my old macbook. I downloaded it here: =en_US&locale=en_US. I then went to system preferences and added the HP envy 4520 printer to the list of printers and selected the printer driver for the HP Envy 4500 which appeared in the list of drivers after I installed it. Now here is the good part: IT WORKED WITH THE HP ENVY 4520!!! I was able to print from the computer. Just be sure your computer and printer are on the same network.

I previously had 10.5 and opened up an ArcGIS 10.2 versions MXD. This week, I upgraded to 10.6 and tried to open the MXD from that same 10.2. That MXD would not open. All it would do is "not responding". I copied, renamed it and even re-downloaded it from the email it was sent from. Nothing. Corrupted?

The first is to run the "MXD Doctor" it normally comes with the installation of ArcMap. I am not sure if it comes with 10.6. Normally it is found in (using Window 7): Start -> Programs -> ArcGIS -> Desktop Tool -> MXD Doctor

To better integrate TIBCO Streaming applications in Cloud environments, where UDP broadcasts and firewall management is restricted, release 10.6.0 introduces support for industry-standard Kubernetes as an alternative discovery service and Docker container deployment manager. This release also adds support for Helm as a package manager for Kubernetes configurations.

As with every major release, TIBCO strongly recommends using File>Import to import your projects from previous releases into a new, unused Studio 10.6 workspace. Be sure to use the Copy projects into workspace option.
