mail account was hacked. password has been changed, hopefully should be the end of it.
however never click on any dodgy-looking links that come without explanation; there has been a rash of email account hacking lately and you'll likely see the same from other people.
in this case, the link target is simply an ad; even if you did click, there is no virus or malware risk.
