Qualifying Series 24’

Thanks for the call this morning.
I guess we came up with 4 options today for our qualifying series..

Option 1
Race July 6 as a regularly scheduled program with an intention of 3 races..Start time 2pm as usual..

Option 2
Race July 6 with 2 races maximum…start time 2 pm as usual.

Option 3
Race one of the last 3 Sundays In July…in addition to the Saturday races .This would be a back to back weekend with a regatta style vibe..weekends 13/14 20/21 or 27/28…. This could be a challenge for RC ….but maybe we can make it work ..No qualifying on July 6..
Maybe picnic race or extension of June series..

4th option
Extend qualifying to the 3rd of August and Not have qualifying on the 6th of July…but have the picnic race or an extension of the June series…

I would like to get 1 vote from each boat on which option is most popular and then cross check with RC and the club about the dates..

Hello IOD fleet!
Thank you for voting..as you can see the results are in. I only
counted everyone's first choices. I voted for option 4..
4 votes for option 1
1 vote for option 2
3 votes for option 3
2 votes for option 4
So we will be racing on JULY 6...start time 2pm ..3 races will be
scheduled . Hopefully everyone will have their mooring clear to go
back to that day as it is usually Fireworks that day.. We will have a
spring meeting in March and I will be reaching out to some of you
when we hear back about how many boats we will get for the Norway
worlds in June.

Skippers:  We need 8 races to constitute a series as Worlds/North Americans qualifier. We’re currently at 7 races.  In the event we don’t get a race off this weekend, we’d need a fleet vote to change Aug 3rd to count towards the Worlds/NA qualifier (per the posted schedule).

Can I ask each boat to vote on whether you approve of changing Aug 3rd to be a Worlds/NA qualifier in the event we can’t race on July 27th ?

You can reply here or DM me.  Looking for a majority vote (6 of 10 boats)
