   The NA’s are moved from Chester to  Northeast Harbor.. It’s about a week before we are hosting the worlds this September..

I am not sure if anyone has committed to this event as of yet .. Last years August series qualifies an entry from our fleet.. I believe Zallee won August but will defer down to 2nd place .. 

We should probably have a fleet meeting this spring sometime.. I’ll send out a survey but I was thinking the end of April after the next YC board meeting.  I am hoping to get going again with the whatsapp chanel for day to day coms this season as it’s a good base line communication that works well .. 

 Finally, I am hoping that we can get all the boats to the starting line .. It’s incredibly important and effects the number of invites a fleet gets . We had 2 boats ( 20%) of our fleet that we could not count last year because they did not sail the minimum amount of races ( 4 in the qualifying series).  So it’s time to rally and start thinking about the season .. We should be able to have some great racing starting in June  so let’s get our boats ready early and your crews sorted .. Keep a look out for a survey about our spring meeting in the next weeks .

Fleet Captains:

Due to circumstances beyond its control, the Chester Fleet will be unable to host the North American Invitational this year.  The WCA and Chester fleet are continuing to seek appropriate regatta insurance coverage and to find a solution for future events at Chester.

Meanwhile, very fortunately, the Northeast Harbor Fleet has indicated their willingness to step into the breach, hosting the event with slightly different dates.  The WCA Executive Committee has gratefully accepted the NEH offer.

The 2022 North Americans will now take place September 9-11, 2022, with a welcoming party on September 8^th.  Details including a NOR are in process.  NEH expects to have a fleet of 15 boats.

Please advise your fleet membership of these changes in venue and dates as soon as possible.
