Subject: IOD 2022 North American Championship – Northeast Harbor – Sept 9-11
Fleet Captains:
Due to circumstances beyond its control, the Chester Fleet will be unable to host the North American Invitational this year. The WCA and Chester fleet are continuing to seek appropriate regatta insurance coverage and to find a solution for future events at Chester.
Meanwhile, very fortunately, the Northeast Harbor Fleet has indicated their willingness to step into the breach, hosting the event with slightly different dates. The WCA Executive Committee has gratefully accepted the NEH offer.
The 2022 North Americans will now take place September 9-11, 2022, with a welcoming party on September 8th. Details including a NOR are in process. NEH expects to have a fleet of 15 boats.
Please advise your fleet membership of these changes in venue and dates as soon as possible.
Regards,
Chris Gould
Secretary
