Bermuda International Invitational Race Week (BIIRW) May 10th - May 16th 2026

Hi fleet,

The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club has confirmed dates for Bermuda race week, May 10th - May 16th 2026. Please see below some information on timing; let me know if you are potentially interested.  Rick Thompson is requesting confirmation by January 15th.

In order our participants would have the pleasure of seeing the Sail GP boats race in Bermuda the weekend of May 9th and 10th Bermuda Race Week will start on May 10th with the opening cocktail party that evening. If you arrive on Saturday May 9th or Friday May 8th You will be able to see the event. Details of Sail GP will be sent later or you can go to their website. Our preference is for the racing to start on Monday May 11th and continue for the next 4 day finishing on the evening of May 15th with our traditional prizegiving and dinner. The Yacht Club has added another day to the calendar to potentially accommodate other keelboats to sail for the one day and are encouraging us to join them. We have told them that that would be impractical as our competitors need to return home on the Saturday to prepare for their next week’s work assignments, and get over jet lag (Europeans). Please let me know if our finishing on Friday May 15th is your preference.
