Subject: Announcing the 2024 EYC Women's IOD Invitational!

Hello from Marblehead,

Next September, there will be a new event on the New England racing calendar -- the EYC Women's IOD Invitational.  This two-day regatta (Saturday and Sunday, September 7&8 hosted at Marblehead's beautiful Eastern Yacht Club) will bring together top all-female teams from across New England for two days of spirited racing aboard these classic sloops.  You'll find details at www.marbleheadiod.com/womens/

I know that many of you are familiar with Internationals, these sleek racing boats are one of the most storied of  all one-design classes.  Racing these heavy displacement sloops requires a unique balance of sailing skill, teamwork, and strategic prowess. And because the one-design principles of the class are so exacting, the competition is truly between the teams, not the boats.

All-female teams are invited to apply (quickly!) to be part of the 2024 IOD Women's Invitational - space is limited and applications are already being received, even though the regatta website has only been live a couple of days.

We hope that your sailors can be a part of this year's event (hopefully the first of many)
