PLOT

The Elements of Plot Development

If an author writes, "The king died and then the queen died," there is no plot for a story. But by writing, "The king died and then the queen died of grief," the writer has provided a plot line for a story.

A plot is a causal sequence of events, the "why" for the things that happen in the story. The plot draws the reader into the character's lives and helps the reader understand the choices that the characters make.

A plot's structure is the way in which the story elements are arranged. Writers vary structure depending on the needs of the story. If you need more information on plot click here!

I think that the plot for fish cheeks is she is ashamed of being
Chinese so when the boy comes for cristmas and is met by strange food
and bad manners she is afraid he won't like her anymore, but she
realizes that she should be proud of her culture and not try to hide
it.

I think the plot of Fish Cheeks is that Amy, a young Chinese girl has
a crush a the ministers son and when the ministers family is invited
over for dinner Amy is ashamed of the way her family acted. All
reaching across the table using there chopsticks to grab food and ect,
but at the end of the day Amy learns from her mother and father that
it is important to stay true to her culture and beliefs and that she
may want to change on the outside, but on the inside she will always
be Chinese. She learns to understand that she shouldn't have to
change to get the approval of anyone else.

I thought that it was interesting how Amy changed in the story and
went from ashamed to proud. I was surprised by what the story was
about I thought it would be about fishermen. And it's a cool moral
that you don't have to change to be liked

In the story Fish cheeks I think the plot of the story is about a
young chinese girl who talks about a boy she likes then one christmas
the boy comes over for dinner and then she is scared that the boy wont
like her because of the different ways of doing thinks in her
family. That is what I think the plot of the story is for the story
Fish Cheeks.

The plot of the story was very interesting. The conflict of the story made me very interesting. I thought the theme of the story and what the story would be about would be different but overall its a great story.
