Designing and implementing the right compensation and benefit plan for any workforce is a complex task. Most employees are expecting more comprehensive compensation and benefit plan in that employers must be aware of these and must make informed decisions whenever they create such a plan considering that it has financial and administrative implications. In effect, the plan is an integral people management strategy that must facilitate in attracting, motivating and retaining the best talents and as a result, improving organizational effectiveness.

• Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Industry Productivity and Competitiveness of the University of the Philippines – School of Labor & Industrial Relations. • An international lecturer as well as consultant cum trainer of more than 200 organizations in the Philippines since 1987 • Issue editor of the Philippine Journal of Labor and Industrial Relations and member of the editorial board of the Philippine Journal on Innovation and Entrepreneurship • He obtained four degrees from the University of the Philippines: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; Diploma in Industrial Relations; Master of Industrial Relations (major in Human Resource Development); and Ph.D. in Educational Anthropology • An Accredited Voluntary Arbitrator of the Department of Labor and Employment; Dr. Binghay is recipient of various awards and recognitions such as the "HR Leadership Award" by the 2006 World HRD Congress held in India
