Tina Chery to visit 6th grade RE this week

Tina Chery, founder and executive director of LDB Peace Institute, will be speaking at First Parish in Concord this Sunday.  Tina will also be joining our 6th grade RE class and will talk to our youth about the Mothers' Day Walk for Peace.  Tina will be discussing a special curriculum about the Seven Principles of Peace: love, justice, courage, faith, hope, unity and forgiveness. 

Mother’s Day March for Peace - Sunday, May 10th, 8 a.m.

The 3.6-mile Walk for Peace is Sunday, May 10. Mothers, dads, kids, all are invited to join the annual march of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. Margie Saphier coordinates this early morning event for FPC. This is a family friendly event, which promotes the right of all individuals to live in peace. The event will start and finish at the Town Field in Dorchester. Depending on the number of participants either a bus will be rented or a carpool will be arranged to depart from First Parish early Sunday morning.   Please reply to this email to let us know if you are interested in participating.

Kindergarten – Begin in the Sanctuary, dismissed to RE in the lower level classrooms        

1st Grade - Begin in the Sanctuary, dismissed to RE in the lower level classrooms         

2nd Grade – Begin in the Sanctuary, dismissed to the Ripley Room        

3rd Grade – Begin in the Sanctuary, dismissed to the Greeley Room        

4th Grade – Begin in the Sanctuary and dismissed to RE in the Bulkeley Room, released to coffee hour        

5th Grade – Begin in the Sanctuary and dismissed to RE in the Brooks Room, released to coffee hour        

6th Grade – Begin in the Sanctuary and dismissed to RE in the Wright Tavern 

7th Grade - Neighboring Faiths – Meet at 9:00 for trip to Union Baptist Church, Cambridge

YAC – Wright Tavern Sun Porch – 6:00 p.m.        

9th-12th Grade, Youth Group – 7:00 p.m.
