In this RE Announce......

Reflective RE Conversation - Sunday, April 12

DRE Hiring Process Update

Volunteers Needed to Supervise Teens

This Week, April 12

Next Week, April 19

Sunday,  April 12  -Reflective RE Congregational Conversation, 7:00 – 9:00 pm - Emerson Room

This is similar to our previous Congregational Conversation offerings; however, the intention is for this discussion to be a place for reflection about where RE has been over the past six months in addition to where we want to go in the future.  Justine Sullivan, President of UU Clara Barton District, will facilitate the discussion.  Your input will be used to inform decisions about RE at First Parish and our next DRE.  No need to RSVP but please feel free to contact Leslie Pelton Nichol lpe...@ljpconsult.com or (781) 929-1147 if you have any questions.

DRE Hiring Process Update

Did you know that over 60 people attended RE Congregational Conversations over the past month?  The most frequently mentioned purpose of RE was to build community and there were many strengths highlighted for us to build on including children’s experience of being heard and known in our RE  program.  Check out all the comments and the analysis on http://www.firstparish.org/cms/religious-education/religious-education-conversations-2015    The input was used to shape the job description for our RE leader.  The job is posted and next week we will announce the search committee that will be working with Howard.  Stop by and talk with an RE Council representative at the RE Council table at coffee hour.

Volunteers Needed to Supervise Teens Providing Childcare
We are compiling a list of adults who are willing to be contacted to supervise our teens while they provide childcare during church events. Adding your name to the list will not commit you to any specific event, rather, you will be contacted on a case-by-case basis and can volunteer when it fits in your schedule. Ideally the list of potential volunteers will be long, so that each individual's time commitment will be minimal. If you are willing to add your name to this list of adult supervisors, please email Bridget Neale Paris, bridgetn...@gmail.com. Thank you!
