Message from Amy: My family came to church with me last Sunday. When my six year old came up the front steps into the Sanctuary of First Parish, she said, “Mommy, this is a palace!” Attending Junior Choir rehearsal on Wednesday also was a positive experience for my family. I look forward to meeting you and your family on Sunday both at the Service and Picnic. Feel free to contact me with questions or to introduce yourself: afre...@firstparish.org
Online Registration Please register for RE Classes TODAY! The online form can be found on the front page of our website: http://www.firstparish.org As you know, our program is cooperative and your participation is valuable. Homecoming Sunday, 9/13 Welcome Home! Our 10:00am service will focus on UU rituals that you can take home. The service is designed for all ages to participate including our Children’s Choirs. Children and families are invited to bring a small sample of water for the Water Communion ritual. Childcare for little ones will be also available. All are welcome to the Homecoming Picnic at 5:30pm. Please pack a picnic dinner and bring a dessert to share. As well as good food, conversation, and music, we will have an intergenerational art project and a game to play together.
RE Classes Start 9/20: Our RE program is designed to spark curiosity, build community, foster kindness, and nurture confidence. Children and youth of all ages will be affirmed as individuals and given both ethical and spiritual tools to navigate life. Amy will be guiding and supporting our teachers to include movement, creativity, games, and service projects to supplement our curricula. Please read the September newsletter for more information about each class: http://www.firstparish.org/cms/files/mhn/mhn2015-09.pdf
