Dear Hallowe'en Pop-up choir,
First, thank you for your "spirited" singing yesterday and all that you brought to a wonderful worship service. Your costumes were so creative and your singing was strong and inviting.
Unfortunately, I got word from Jane Fisher today that her daughter, Lydia Brosnehan, who was singing soprano, tested positive for Covid this morning. The good news is that Lydia was masked throughout the service and all the singing. And, watching the YouTube video, it appears that many of the people around her were also masked or in costumes that covered their faces. So I'm hoping those factors will help contain the spread of the virus. But I thought you should know this, since we were all singing together.
Even though we turned off the fans to make it easier to hear yesterday, the opened windows kept the air circulating through the sanctuary and Rick Moore showed me CO2 readings that were lower than they usually are on a Sunday morning - which means there was lots of fresh air in the room. This also is encouraging.
Still, if you were in the soprano section or otherwise near Lydia on Sunday morning, it might be a good idea to test on Friday, just as a precaution. And certainly test if you develop symptoms.
Thanks - and Happy Hallowe'en.
Beth
