Calling all First Churches members - We Need Sunday School Helpers for September!
This year's Children's Church (Sunday School) program will kick-off on Gathering Sunday (September 9th) - and we need your help. Please read the info below, and consider volunteering some time!
Since our CE Director position is still pending, the Christian Ed Board needs adult volunteers to help lead our Children's Church classes during the month of September. To ensure age-appropriate instruction & keep class size manageable, we'll have three distinct groups this year. Every Sunday, we'll need two adults for each class:
- Kindergarten to 3rd Grade
- 4th & 5th Grade
- 6th to 8th Grade
We launch with a lively Kick-off Breakfast (Sept. 9th, 9am, Lyman Hall) that all parents, children & volunteers are encouraged to attend. While the kids get introduced & reacquainted, parents can learn more about the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum & this year's activity calendar, tour our "in-renovation" spaces downstairs, review our Safe Church policy, & sign-up their children (and hopefully themselves - as additional helpers).

- Lesson plans & materials will all be provided
- All you need is an open mind, a positive attitude - and a desire to help our children!
- We're also looking for adult members to make a "cameo" appearance at an upcoming class (TBD) - to share a skill, story or experience, lead an activity, organize a Missions-based or Peace & Justice initiative... come on down!
