Good morning all,
I hope that everyone’s September is getting off to a wonderful start. It is a busy time here in the Church, lots of exciting things happening.
We now have a new Sexton, Jyhoa, which some of you had the pleasure of meeting on Gathering Sunday. I know that he felt a warm welcome from all of you. Due to the start of the new church there is a lot happening behind the scenes with Jyhoa and myself. We don’t want any the needs of First Churches to be missed. The best way for us to receive a request for a task is to getting in writing. With that said, I would like to let you know about a new policy in the office. If anyone has a job for us to do I ask that you fill out a Work Request Form. This form is for things like big maintenance jobs or a mailing. I have attached a copy of the form to this email and they will also be available in the office. Once the form is filled out they can be return to the office or submitted by email to firstc...@verizon.net.
I would also like to remind everyone that the deadline for your submissions for October’s messenger is Tuesday September 18th. If for some reason you are unable to meet this deadline and would like to submit an article please contact me before the deadline date to make arrangements.
Lastly, I am reaching out to you all and asking for a weekly volunteer to come in to the office and help me with things like folding bulletins and filing. The best time for someone to come in to help would be Thursday or Friday, late morning/early afternoon. This would be a huge help to me as it would free up some time to get other things done during this busy time.
