RE: Volunteers Needed at Girard Elementary School

Hi Everyone,

North Mac School Superintendent Cullen has requested assistance with the kindergarten class at Girard Elementary School.  Specifically, she has asked for volunteers to assist at the following times each weekday to do the following tasks:

9:05 to 10:10 a.m. daily for help with Reading.  Volunteers would help small groups stay on task, assist individual students with flashcards in recognizing letters and sounds, and read to or be read to by individual or small groups of students.

and

12:50 - 1:50 p.m. daily for help with Math.  Volunteers here are needed to help students with flash cards and basic skills in recognizing numbers and in counting by 5's and 10's.  There might also be time for volunteers to work with a small group of students on math story or word problems.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to again bless this group of children and help their teachers.  If you can help in any way, please let me know - I will put together a schedule.  We will start the week of April 14th.
