RE: Upcoming Activities

Hi Everyone,

Here are some upcoming activities that we want everyone to be aware of:

The church will be providing volunteers to help at the Girard Food Pantry this coming Sunday, April 26th from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. If you have never helped in the past, go to the Food Pantry that is now located in the new community center building at 9 a.m. and they will tell you want to do.   Contact Karen Sutton if you have questions (971-3984).  

The church's annual basketball skills camp for kids K-5th grade will take place on Saturday, April 26th, May 3rd and May 10th from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Girard Elementary School gym. Basketball coaches and players from area universities will provide instruction on basic basketball skills and techniques.  If you would like to help, contact me.

A new Bible study that will meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. starts this coming Sunday, April 27th.  This Bible study will focus on the book of Colossians and will meet in the sanctuary.  

There will be a baby shower for Jordan Emery this coming Sunday, April 27th at St Pat's Hall at 3 p.m.  Food, cake and drinks will be served.  For those who would like to help decorate St. Pat's Hall for the shower, there will be a decorating party on Saturday at 3 p.m.   She is registered at Wal-Mart and Babies R Us for those who would like to get her a gift.  We thank those who have already contributed toward a gift for her and baby.  Btw, Jordan is due on 6/5/14; she is having a baby boy and his name is Collin James.  We love Jordan and we are already praying for Collin and look forward towards seeing him.  Please continue to demonstrate your love for them with your words of encouragement, prayers and gifts.
