Very interesting. Thanks for chasing this down and following up on our conversation in class tonight, Tom. A great example of the positive, comparative, and superlative forms of the adjective.

NET:  And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison.

ESV:  And I will show you a still more excellent way.

 

NET note: Grk "a still more excellent way." In this context the phrase has an elative rather than a comparative sense, however.
