Greek Students,

We had a great night reviewing ch. 6 on nominative and accusative cases. Then we were introduced in ch. 7 to the genitive case (when the noun is possessive) and the dative case (when a noun is acting as the direct object). We also saw how the article paradigm closely follows the case ending chart for all four cases. We also had a short history lesson on the history of the French Bible (thanks Catherine!), and I learned that amore is NOT French for “love” (it’s Italian).

Homework: Please re-read anything that is unclear; review all vocab through ch. 7; do the following ch. 7 exercises:

·         Parsing 1-3

·         Write out Forms of the Article

·         Warm-ups 1-3

·         Translation 1-3

We will probably not have class next week (hopefully the baby will come by then and we’ll be getting adjusted!). Instead, take this time to review carefully all grammar and vocab up through ch. 7. We’ll review the homework and then, Lord willing,  start ch. 8 on prepositions and eimi in two weeks (on Tuesday, Feb. 22).

Thanks,

Stephen
