Dear Greek Students,
Last night, we reviewed chapter 17 on how Greek vowels contract, then jumped into ch. 18 on middle/passive verbs. We also met an unusual little creature called the deponent verb (e.g. ejrcomai). It looks like it’s present middle/passive in form, yet it’s actually active in meaning! (e.g. ejrcomai = “I go, am going”)
Homework for next week:
Memorize and review all vocab through ch. 18
Memorize the Master Verb Chart
Do chapter 18 Parsing 1-4, Warm-ups a-d, and Translation 1-2.
Thanks,
Pastor Stephen
