Dear Greek students,
Tonight, Catherine and I were the only two in class. We finished reading the ch. 15 intro. to verbs and then read ch. 16 on our first category of verbs: the Present Active Indicative. They consist of three components: verb stem + connecting vowel + primary active personal endings. You can all read this on your own this week and you’ll be caught back up with us for next time.
As Mounce says on p. 128, “Verbs are the most exciting part of the Greek language. Many times the theology of a passage, or a clearer insight into the nuance of the passage, is hidden in the aspect of the verb.” In other words, we’re just getting to the good stuff!
Keep pressing on, and join us next Tuesday.
Homework for next week:
Review all Vocab thru Exercise 16
Exercise 16, Parsing #1-4
Exercise 16, Warmup a, b
Exercise 16, Translation #3-4
Thanks,
Pastor Stephen
