In the taskbar/system tray click on the Greenshot icon, then select Imgur > History and you can see a list of images uploaded there and a button to delete them. I verified this by comparing with the solution of Michel Jiang.

This should work if you pull the deleteHash from the history of the imgur plugin through Greenshot, then if you enter imgur.com/delete/deleteHashHere it should prompt you with the 'are you sure you want to delete y/n?' page.

I'm using xfc4-screenshooter all the time and it usually is sufficent for my needs, but today an accident happended:
My hand slipped from the mouse and an image of my desktop was uploaded to Imgur instead of saving it to a file.
I have no idea how to have this image deleted. I have no "delete_hash" that's often said to be needed for that. I sent a deletion request to Imgur, though.
For pure luck the image contained no personal information.

According to this page, you should have had a window pop up referring to "Your uploaded image" and there was a tab there with Deletion link. Opening that tab then, and only then, would have given you the link to delete the upload. Once that window is closed, there's no way of retrieving the link.

Strong agreement. I think a bug report is in order.
Normally, it may be no big deal. But if Imgur makes deletion of accidentally uploaded images a PITA, then a default setting to use it is a pretty big problem.

Therefore I would suggest that the user EITHER be given a choice of "approved" services, which Imgur may be one. How the approval should be done is a discussion for another thread. OR it should be removed.

My personal opinion is that the functionality should be completely removed from the app. I don't see how this particular functionality is useful to any particular user, and so therefore IMO it should be removed. Surely it is no more easy than copying to the clipboard and then pasting the clipboard contents on your favorite image hosting website of choice, imgur or otherwise.

I'm coming from KDE and their "Send To" menu items took forever to open, barely fit on the screen, and I never used a single one, unless I accidently clicked one. I really, really wanted to get rid of all of them (one of the reasons I left KDE :-)). I either save the file or open it in GIMP.

Imgur uploads should return successfully once that issue has settled. Apologies for the trouble, but we're not in a position to do much about it for the moment. We're working on some long-term backup bits but they're far from being in place.

In my country imgur is blocked and can only accessible through VPNs. I can use VPN on my mobile or PC but can't use it while I'm at work, so if an image is uploaded directly to imgur, I can't see that but I can see images that uploaded via stackoverflow's upload feature (to i.stack.imgur).

Yes, this is fine. There should only be a few old posts that you will come across that don't use the official Stack Overflow image-hosting service, hailing from a time before that service was available and well-integrated. Currently, someone would have to work extra hard not to upload to i.stack.imgur.com.

The only thing I would ask is that, while you're making these image-substitution edits, you also fix any other glaring problems with the post that you see. If the post has incorrectly formatted code, fix it. If a question is obviously mistagged, fix it. If the title uses horribly inappropriate grammar, change it. And so on. You don't have to fix everything if you're short on time, but taking care of the obvious issues will help to minimize the disruptive impact of edits.

You can do this with shutter as well, which is available in the repositories. Simply take a screenshot and then click export (see screenshots) and you are presented with a comprehensive number of alternatives, including the option of Ubuntu One.

You can upload to places like imgur, imageshack either as a guest or you can use your account if you have one. See the second screenshot for this, which details the uploading preferences settings of shutter, accessed via edit > preferences > upload tab.

I wrote a small python script to do the same. It captures the screenshot of the screen , uploads in imgurl , copies the url into clipboard , deletes the created image file from your desktop in just one keyboard shortcut.

I've been struggling with this for what seems like years now. I set up my imgur account info in Greenshot and it will upload just fine to imgur for a few days and then I get this error: (I had to manually past this image into imgur)

Imgur has changed their API a couple of times, which prevented us uploading to it. We can't smell that there are issues, without people actually reporting them. Than we need to act accordingly, and make a change, which sometimes is more complex. As Greenshot is developed in our spare time, it's not always possible to react in hours or days so sometimes we need more than weeks. If the issue occured, like last with the recent change, during one of our more complex tasks we have been working on, than it takes longer as Imgur isn't our main focus.

To put it in perspective, if Greenshot would be paid application with (paid) support I would have money to make someone do my laundry/garden/cleaning etc and I had time to phone/email/orwhatever Imgur to ask them why a certain user can't upload.

I can imagine you are somewhat annoyed, we are trying to rebuild Greenshot so it's going to be easier to quickly respond to such issues, this unfortunately is one of the complex things we are working on: Greenshot 2.x and our Website relocation as SF has problems hosting our website!!

On top of that, Imgur might throttle (or even break) the uploads for a user OR an application. We don't get any feedback on this, it might be that we are hitting a limit and our (multiple times) requested whitelisting might be inactive (or not working).

You can find the location of the log via the information here: -can-i-find-greenshots-log-file/ (If SF doesn't have issues, this should work)
I will need the log, so I can see what is happening. Maybe Imgur is blocking again, whatever reason, maybe there is a authorisation issue and the token is not updates.. I can't tell from a distance.

Nope, no issue either... this might mean that whatever was wrong is fixed on their side or that there is an authorization issue with Greenshot on your side. If the issue is still active you might try to delete the authentication:
Open the Greenshot about, press "i", this should open greenshot.ini from e.g. C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Greenshot
Stop Greenshot
remove line with RefreshToken
Save
Start Greenshot
Retry

I can't seem to upload images. I've tried a few times over the past hour or so, with no luck. I tried uploading an image that I've previously added to an answer with no problem, and tried in both Chrome and Firefox, but no joy. Also tried on another SE (I'm posting here because this is the main site I use).

I can drag and drop the file to the Imgur window fine, but when I click the "Add picture" button I keep getting the same error ("Failed to upload image; an error occured at imgur"). It even happened when I tried to "provide a link from the web" with the link to an image from an ELU post hosted on Imgur itself.

I've always uploaded my products via excel spreadsheet as it's quicker and easier for me, i use Imgur as the host website for my images, over the last week or so when adding new products the Imgur links seem to not work anymore? Any idea what i can use instead or why it's no working?

matteocontrini Also note that there's apparently a bug in the interface, so you might need to select the second option and then the third option, otherwise you will be asked to fill the "Authorization callback URL".

Hi, is it possible to make the dimensions "standard" for the forum? I just don't want someone to upload a picture that covers the whole page, so it would be nice to have an option to select the image dimensions that appear in the posts

This is a great plugin, but would it be possible to define a folder (accessible via the imgur user account associated with the API key being used) so that files uploaded by the Flarum forum can be managed and monitored there via the GUI?

Saving any image as png or jpg (haven't tested other formats) will result in a file that I can not upload to imgur or reddit or facebook posts/comments. Tried it in Chrome and Safari. Uploading the file to google drive and downloading it will solve the issue, but this is not a solution.

It worked indeed but I don't know why does it have to be overcomplicated. Save as used to work perfectly fine and seems more simple to use and faster. Then some change like this comes up, causing me (among who knows how many people) an extra 30min work to find the solution and nervousness.

I will as always recommend ShareX, which is a program that can take a screenshot of a portion of your computer, automatically upload it to imgur and generate a URL for you.
If you need images from your phone then you can email them to yourself and screenshot them from the email if like me you leave your cable everywhere except where you need it

I made a React + Express + mySQL website. I got it perfectly working on pre-production, however I am now having some problems to get my website correctly run on Render. The error happens when registering the a new user. I want that the user can upload a picture. The picture is stored on the Imgur API and the url is sent to mySQL database. The issue I face is the following:
