Members and advisors,
This is a report of work in progress, completed work, and finances for
March, 2010.
Financials
----------
Our financials spread sheet (balance statement) can be found at
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AqaYslezw-VQdE9TYWR0ZUVxcFNWZndiTC1lOWYybHc&hl=en
We have not had any financial activity in March.
Work In Progress
----------------
* The Crown Construction pilot program is being implemented as a
Firefox extension along with many of our JavaScript modules for Kixx.
This is my absolute top priority.
* Kixx, our client application delivery platform. The next hurdle to
overcome is mashup security.
* Interacting within the programmer community to build connections and
relationships with an eye toward recruiting talent.
* The second draft of our business plan/member pitch.
* Our collaboration software project is still on the back burner.
Currently our priorities are to get a production version of DCube and
Kixx up and running before we start work on this project again. We
are also evaluating Basecamp and Wave for possible ideas.
Completed Work
--------------
* Our 2009 Fiscal year tax filing was completed and filed. I took the
time to post an outline of our tax liabilities and some othere things
I learned along the way for future reference. You can see more at this
posting on this group:
http://groups.google.com/group/fireworks-project/browse_thread/thread/33e2fd6c56ab2381#
* While working on the DCube client JavaScript library I ran accross
another couple of bugs in the DCube server implementation on
Appengine. I fixed these in early March.
http://github.com/kixxauth/DCube/commits/master
* The complexity of building the main client application for Crown
Construction has been at an expected high level, since this is the
first time through for something like this. The level of complexity is
similar to applications like GMail and Salesforce. Our business model
is to reduce the complexity of projects like these far enough that
they can be completed in a matter of days or hours rather than months.
While building the Crown Construction application I've developed a
JavaScript framework that goes a long way toward achieving this kind
of perfomance. It's called jMonad http://github.com/kixxauth/jMonad .
It was developed throughout a couple of weeks in March
http://github.com/kixxauth/jMonad/commits/master . Expect to see a lot
more about this later.
Points Allocation
-----------------
Mike and myself are eligible to vote points for March 2010 and should
do so by posting to this discussion thread.

-- Kris
MIke O'Hara:
3500 points for bringing ideas to the table for possibly moderating a
Bar Camp session in Harrisburg, PA on April 10th and for continued
work on our trademark application process.
Igor Petrov:
3000 points for getting his foot in the door and pouring through all
the code that makes up Kixx and DCube. There is a *huge* amount of
information and code to digest when trying to wrap your head around
these projects and Igor has been plowing through it this past month. I
hope to see a lot more of him in the future.
Thanks,
- Kris
