Hello hello

The Research Justice Track, in its fourth year at the Allied Media Conference (June 18-21), will focus on sharing skills and tools for utilizing grassroots-led research and data in order to reveal untold stories, challenge dominant narratives, and expose social injustice to make the case for change.

We need your help in spreading the word! Please share this Call for Proposals with your network, then apply with your own idea for a dreamy session!

The deadline to apply is March 2nd, 2015.

Hope to see you in Detroit in June!

Jessica, David, Chris, & Kat

Research Justice Track Co-Coordinators

CALL FOR PROPOSALS:

Research justice honors the expertise of communities most impacted by injustice and supports their organizing and movement building. Our definition of “data” is broad and includes our experiences, traditions, stories, and community knowledge, as well as the many ways we communicate our data, such as maps, reports and studies. We will examine success stories of radical research as a tool for change and liberation, while continuing to grow a national research justice network.

The Research Justice Track is seeking proposals for hands-on skillshares, strategy sessions, workshops, and presentations that:

  • Demonstrate accessible and engaging tools, methods, and models for movement research

  • Share success stories of radical research and reflections on challenges and lessons learned

  • Honor multiple systems of knowledge and value community expertise

If you have questions about the track or your proposal, feel free to reach out to our coordination team directly by emailing Jessica at jessica....@gmail.com.

Connect with the Research Justice Collective through Facebook.
