Errors on installation OpenSolaris box

Hi, Im attempting to manually install FireStats on my OpenSolaris box,
which is hosting my Joomla powered web site.
I tried the auto installer but it too faile dand I thought I might be
able to see wahts happeing more with the manual install.
Anyway, here's what Im doing.
Downloaded the manual install, extracted it and moved it to /var/
apache2/2.2/htdocs
Checked permissions on suggested files and folders,added write
permission.
Opened Firefox and browsed to http:localhost/firestats and began the
install process.
Added in the mysql info, successfully connected then got this when
trying to install the tables

Unexpected output: Error : Error locking /var/apache2/2.2/htdocs/
firestats/php/db-setup.php

I went back and checked all permissions, just as a check did this to
allow write to the entire directory/ subdirectories.

chmod -R a+w firestats

Reloaded the browser and tried again, exactly the same error.
Any ideas whats happening here?
