Position: Cognos Developer
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 9 month
Resource will coordinate new development activities and ensure they are consistent and well integrated with the established enterprise information architecture, using metadata management and/or a repository to promote reuse and standards adoption.
Resource must understand data retention and audit requirements and their impact on enterprise information architecture.
Resource will have experience designing and implementing high performance data structures
Resource will have experience in data modeling, including logical and physical model design
Resource will have experience in database design methodologies, database architectures; ETL tools and related integration technologies
Resource will have experience in translating strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which may include an enterprise data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontologies and taxonomies, which will then be used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
Resource will oversee mapping of enterprise information architecture models to package application models, to determine impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions to enterprise information architecture requirements.
REQUIRED:
Demonstrable proficiency in Cognos 8.x, Dashboard Reporting, Standard Reporting, Report Optimization, Cognos SDK JAVA development, Strong Transact SQL (MS SQL Server).
Will have Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 7-8 years of related work experience.
