sidebar functionality

Would it be possible to modify the appearance functionality of the sidebar? Perhaps add a preference? 

When you run Fireplace Plus fullscreen, the sidebar controls reveal far too easily (imho, of course). My feeling is the sidebar should disappear once full-screen, giving you an unobstructed view. Clicking once on the fireplace revers back to standard size, and then I'd expect the sidebar to be revealed. All you can do is switch between fires or go full screen, and if you wanted to change fireplaces while fullscreen, this would be a great case for a CMD-1, -2 or -3 keyboard switch..
