What to do with my FPD?

Looking at the amount of activity here I guess there aren’t many people that actually use their fpd? Is there a sparkle of hope somewhere or should I just scrap it?

I just got done with my PhD and I am going to build one, yes.  I actually need a bit more detail about how to put it together.  I have the top and bottom CNCed already. I do not know how to place everything with the proper orientation.  I think Firepick is the future do not give up!
