Do I have to manually install MySQL, PERL and anything else I may need
or are they already installed on PoW?
If they are not pre-installed then how would I install them so that
PoW would recognize that they are active ?

Also...

Is there a way to have people to go to my site "server" and upload
files? I also would like to have the ability to have a members area
(sign in / register).

I guess this question pertains to others who install POW and your
software. You could try pow_exec

http://davidkellogg.com/wiki/Pow_exec

though this might be too general. You can run any command. You might
be able to detect OS before moving forward. Sqlite is pre-installed.
MySQL and Perl will take some work.

Dear Richard,

If PERL and MySQL aren't already installed, then, yes, you'll have to install them. POW won't have to know where MySQL is. The PERL application will handle that. But, POW will have to be told where PERL is. See http://davidkellogg.com/wiki/Pow_programming_languages
