Firefix slows down the hangs on Vista

What's the deal with Firefox on vista? It slows down then just hangs
on Internet connections. My Vista is up to date. I tried the
troubleshooting steps but no help. I think it is time to go back to
IE.

Whatever you do, don't go back to IE. I suggest Google Chrome, if Firefox won't work for you.

Thanks. I downloaded it today after trying to use IE. Could not.
Google Chrome works nice so far.

I use Vista and I dont have a problem with Firefox at all, either on
my PC or my Laptop.
Which version of Vista are you using? Which version of Firefox?
Does it hang when you are not using Firefox also, or only when you
surf.

I don't think it is Firefox.  It's my crappy Comcast connection.
