A number of web sites are giving a https unknown issuer error with the
last 2-3 days of Firefox builds - examples twitter and american airlines

Is this correct - i.e. an upgraded security policy that many web sites
are not ready for yet - or is it not correct?

Twitter has been consistently fine for me. What issuer does Firefox say is on Twitter's certificate?
