All,

I've been using Firedrop2 for awhile now and really like it. I've
written some plugins for myself and got them working just fine in an
earlier version (0.2.1, I believe -- whatever was initially in
MovablePython). When I upgraded to version 0.2.2, I can't get my
plugins to register at all!

I've tried to adding my plugins to the firedrop.ini in the main
directory and in my individual build.ini files to no avail. What seems
to happen is that when I look at the ini files again, the entries have
been removed.

What is stranger is that I can run the plugin from the command-line and
it works just fine.

Any ideas as to what I need to do to get them to work again?

Thanks,
Mike

Write something new in the build.ini file, then launch FireDrop2...
the build.ini file is rewritten by FireDrop2 and no changes can be
made.

Another thing :
I can't get the RSS feed working correctly, FireDrop2 said :
Cannot open/write /new_blog/index.xml; permission problem?
Cannot open/write /new_blog/atom.xml; permission problem?
I can't even get the wr.ite permission on these files by hand on XP
(I'm the only user, so the admin too).
Any idea ?

Thanks,
6TooL9.

No, I haven't had much time to look at it. I'm working on it with
another copy of Firedrop so I can hopefully isolate why it's not
allowing me to run my plugin. Just not enough time yet.

If I figure it out, I'll post back. Hopefully I'll have some time to
look at it this weekend.

I decided to go back to the previous version until I can look at it and
hopefully figure it out.

Sorry I don't have better news. Let me know if you find anything!

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I'd suggest upping the logging level and posting anything interesting
here.

I remember hitting this myself at some point. Can't remember how I got
round it. Where exactly is the file you are editing? Is there one in
your User Profile too?

Thanks,
Davy

Hi Davy,

Sorry about not being as clear as I could have been. I'm on a Windows
box and the ini file that I'm editting is in the FireDrop2 directory.
Is there another place to edit it?

I'll up the logging level and if I find anything I'll post it. Thanks
for the suggestion. I'm hoping to be able to do something with this
over the weekend.

Hopefully, I'll figure it out and then post it here.

Thanks!

Mike
