I updated Firefox to 7.0.1, reinstalled Firebug but now can't find it
anywhere. There is no bug in the gray bar at the bottom like there
used to be. It's not under tools. It's nowhere to be found. When I
check installed add-ons it's there and activated. One day by accident
it opened up so I know it's there and works, but it got closed, and
now I can't find how to open it again.

Clearly this is a bug. I'm on a Mac so maybe that's it. Perhaps the
Firebug team didn't test on a Mac???

Can someone fix this or tell me how to get to pull it out from hiding?
I miss my Firebug. Thank you.

Well, I don't have a Mac, but others of the Firebug Working Group like Honza do and test it regularily there. Note, that you can always open Firebug via F12. Of course that's not solving your problem, but please read the following and have a look, if that helps you:

If not, please create a new Firefox profile and just install Firebug and let us know, if that fixes the problem.

Greetings
