Firebug with bazarre voice

Hi,

We use firebug routinely in web development. With firebug disabled and I view a page with a bazarre voice rating it loads normally. However, if I have firebug open at the same time firefox hangs. Firefox is 34.0.5.

This does not occur if Bazarre Voice is disabled.

Sometimes you get a javascript popup with a timeout from bv.

I tried opening Firebug on the page you provided and it seems to be working fine for me.

Does Firebug work for you if you install it in a new fresh Firefox profile?

Perhaps you have another extension installed that causes the problem...

Hi Jan,

I created a new profile as per the instructions and re-installed firebug. Firebug was the only extension I had installed anyway.

I then refreshed the page and the browser hang was gone. However, I started enabling all the firebug panels, refreshing the page one by one.

As soon as I enabled the script panel and refreshed the page, the browser started to hang.

I can reproduce this using Firefox 34.0.5 + Firebug 2.0.7 on Win7. I don't see the Unresponsive Script dialog but there is a UI freeze for some seconds when reloading the page while the Script panel is enabled.
